Forbes Magazine has released its annual celebrity rich list. The Forbes celebrity lists according to Forbes ranks front-of-the-camera stars around the globe using their pretax earnings from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018, before deducting fees for managers, lawyers, and agents.

The magazine’s figures are based on numbers from Nielsen, Pollstar, IMDB, Soundscan, NPD Bookscan and Comscore, as well as interviews with industry experts and many of the stars themselves.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo out of 100 celebrities across the world placed 8th ($111m) and 10th ($108m) position respectively. Despite their earnings from their respective clubs as salaries, these football greats acquired the majority of their wealth through endorsement deals with some major brands – Herbalife, Nike, Adidas, Armani etc.

Retired boxer, Floyd Mayweather took the top spot with $285 million with a chunk of it coming from his fight with Conor McGregor last year, August 2017. Actor, George Clooney came in 2nd with $289 million and $166.5 million for Kylie Jenner who arrived at the 3rd position. According to reports, 20-year-old Kylie is the youngest to make this year’s list.
