The presidency has hinted that more Chief Executives of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) would be given the sack in the ensuing days.
Director of Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin gave the hint yesterday while reacting to the dismissal of the Chief Executive officers for Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Felix Anyah, the Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng and the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Paul Asare Ansah on Accra-based Starr Fm monitored by MyNewsGH.com
According to Mr. Arhin, the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital CEO was fired as a result of recommendations from the Public Services Commission which indicated that Dr. Anyah was not qualified for the job.
With respect to the Managing Director of BOST and the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Eugene Arhin noted that the president thought that they had served the country well in their respective roles but were not towing the line of the vision of the president, hence the need for them to go so that a new crop of people are brought in to work in tandem with the vision of the president.
‘’The president thinks that they have served the country well in the respective capacities and he thanks them for that. But he feels that they are not operating in accordance with his vision so there is the need for them to go so that a new crop of people will be brought in the continue’’ he said.
