A significant downpour on Monday morning, May 6, 2024, caused Accra, the capital of Ghana, to experience flooding once more.
A great deal of traffic was generated by the heavy rain, which left many commuters—including corporate employees, traders, students, and drivers—stranded and soaked.
The rain continued to pour, forcing drivers in places like Pokuase, Achimota, Odawna, Tesano, Alajo, and Kaneshie to take cover by the side of the road.
As people prepared for the challenges of the second week of May, their spirits were low due to the number of stationary vehicles stuck in the traffic jams and the fact that some had to walk to their destinations.
Unfortunately, Accra has grown accustomed to this situation, where even a light downpour causes flooding.
