Here are five often consumed items that could prove fatal in a short amount of time;
1. potato
Solanine, found in green potatoes but not the light brown kind, is poisonous.
Your potato is not fully mature if it still has a greenish tint, and if there is a lot of solanine in it. Intense pain, nausea, and even paralysis can occur if you consume green potatoes.
2. Mushrooms
While some varieties of this food can have significant positive effects on human health, not all mushrooms are created equal. Certain types of mushrooms are extremely poisonous. So, pick and choose how you cook your mushrooms.
3. Tomatoes
While tomatoes themselves are a healthy fruit, the leaves of the plant are poisonous and can cause nausea and nervousness in certain people. Tomatoes can be eaten, but the leaves should be avoided.
4. Food items that should not be eaten until they have been cooked
Salmonella bacteria, found in raw meat and uncooked eggs, causes stomach bloating and, in severe cases, death.
