The Minister for Communication, Ursula Owusu, has finally been told the hard truth by an outspoken journalist, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah. It is about the blocking of all SIM cards which have not been registered. According to Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, what Ursula Owusu is doing is actually the usage of intimidation and fear to cower citizens into submission. According to Okatakyie, those days are over.
“Someone should tell Ursula Owusu, the days of using intimidation and fear to cower citizens into submission, long died with Julius Caesar.
Civilized societies no longer use intimidation but incentives to get their citizens to toe the line. It is for nothing that people are paid for bringing in garbage in certain civilized societies lately. You are telling citizens that, I will disconnect your SIM card if you haven’t registered with the Ghana card.
Meanwhile, your government has not issued to the person a Ghana Card”, he wrote.
