In an executive order President Akufo-Addo yesterday revoked the appointment letter of Adwoa Safo. This comes at the back that the Minister had been missing from the country for months without any tangible reason. With this sack, all eyes will be on whether the Dome-Kwabenya MP will also lose her seat in Parliament despite Bagbin deferring the case ruling for later.
Akufo-Addo this afternoon is expected to cut sod for the 23 km Dome-Kitase road project. For many years the people of Comet, Dome and Kitase have complained of the bad roads. They have made several pleas for government to intervene and get this project done. Akufo-Addo is expected to cut sod to commence the project.
It can be recalled that in the latest $750 million loan Parliament passed there was a $10 million allocated to the Kwabenya-Peduase road project. Ghanaians are reacting to this development as it will mark less than 24 hours since the MP for the area was sacked by the President. Many see this as a propaganda message for the NPP to win the seat, while others feel the constituency is tired of the NPP. Check out the comments.
