The majority of Ghanaians have one way or another criticized Koku Anyidoho’s handling of Atta Mills’ memory and legacy. They have indicated that the gentleman’s quest to renovating of the burial place of his boss together with the government was unthinkable.
To them, the family of the late leader holds the ultimate power to decide where their member should be laid and any intention to renovate the place must be done in consultation with the family according to African tradition.
However, Koku was once an aide to the deceased head of state and from all indications, the man’s love for his boss is very deep, special, and beautiful. All manner of abusive words was said to him and that didn’t quench his desire to see the place transformed. People can sense the depth of loyalty and Love for Atta Mills even in his death. How many people can be this loyal to a dead man?
On the 10th anniversary of the demise of the President, Koku Anyidoho together with the current President and Vice, held a special ceremony to honor his memory. In attendance were dignitaries from the government and the minority who gathered at the park now turned into a mausoleum.
