Arise Ghana Demo Organizers are calling on all Ghanaian to join the masses today to register thier displeasure at the increasing cost of living and hardship in the country.
The group noted that they are specifically looking at the increased prices of fuel and transportation fares, prices of food and utilities. The also want the government to repeal the E-Levy.
The interesting question is whether any demonstration in this Nana Akufo-Addo Era has produced any positive outcome.
A careful analysis indicates that not a single demonstration yielded any positive outcome.
Recent Fix country movement tried a couple but their cry fell to deaf ears.
Though demonstration are meant to be voice for the ordinary, a means to inform the government of thier predicaments, they have are yet to produce any positive outcome.
The government had not revised any decision because the citizenry said they don’t want it. A survey before the implementation of E-Levy said about 70 percent of Ghanaians said they were against yet the government went ahead and implemented it.
Let’s wait and see if today’s demonstration will yield any outcome.
