Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, says Asantewaa’s comments that without TikTok influencers musicians would have a tough time promoting their songs are nothing but the truth.
According to Shatta, Asantewaa “said the bitter truth.”
TikTok star Asantewaa had disclosed in an earlier interview on United show that most musicians who want their songs to trend must first of all approach TikTok stars.
“I have always maintained that it doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game. When you make that song, it is not about your craft, you need to get us on board before it can blow. If not, you will be the only person singing the song… We make the song trend,” she said on Saturday, June 18.
Reacting to this in a series of Facebook posts, Shatta bemoaned that it’s only poor musicians who could be talked down by these tiktok stars.
But he was quick to add that what Asantewaa said about music promotion was true.
Shatta Wale is best friends with TikTok Jackeline Mensah. The duo have been even rumoured to be sleeping together. But Jackeline who was also on the United show on UTV dispelled the rumours.
She made it clear that Shatta Wale was her godfather and their relationship was father-daughter based.
