The Black Stars of Ghana played against Chile in the ongoing Kirin cup happening at Japan. Match ended with Ghana winning on penalties.

Coah Otto Addo prior to the game against Chile made five important changes as compared to the squad he used to face Japan in the first match. Manaf Nurudeen replaced Ati-Zigi in post. Remember Japan scored Ghana by four goals to one with Ati-Zigi in the post. Dede Ayew started with Jordan Ayew coming in as a substitute in the second half.

The black stars played well in both the first and second half. Benjamin Tetteh was able to hit the goal post twice for Ghana. Alidu Saidu got a red card after a reckless tackle. Mubarak Wakaso also got a red card for exchanging words with the referee. In the end, the goalkeeper of Ghana, Manaf saved a couple of penalties to secure Ghana the win over Chile. Ghana won a bronze medal in the tournament.
