Brooke Hogan gives an update on Hulk Hogan’s health.
Brooke Hogan, the daughter of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, recently spoke with Hollywood Raw about her father’s current health situation. She stated he’s doing okay right now, but that he’s had 25 surgeries in the last ten years.
Brooke added, as recorded by Wrestling Inc., “We counted how many surgeries he’s had in the previous 10 years and I guess we’re at 25.” Last year, he had both shoulders scoped, as well as his entire bicep, bursa sac, and everything else in his shoulder wrapped up. That was a complete disaster. It was a major deal when he developed MRSA.
“As a result, we had to undo a lot of physical therapy. He’s had both of his knees replaced many times, twice on both, I believe. His hips have been replaced. His elbow has been scoped. He’s had a lot of surgeries, so he’s done a lot, but the most recent one he just had was like the winning ticket. So he’s in terrific shape right now. Every day, he goes to the gym for two hours. He’s still moving forward.” Brooke also discussed his father’s relationship with Randy Savage, who passed away in 2011. Before his death, Hulk and Savage reconciled, according to Brooke. “Oh, my goodness. Such a wonderful person, “she admitted. “So, when my parents went out on date nights, they’d leave us kids with him, and Liz and I would brush his hair with, you know, the little pink plastic brush that came with Barbie dolls? I was going to brush his hair. It was simply so terrible that he died so young, like if he and my father had just seen each other and made amends or something.” Hulk Hogan, 68, last appeared on WWE television in April, when he co-hosted WrestleMania 37 with Titus O’Neal. Before WrestleMania, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time as a member of the NWO. Hogan has won the WWE Championship six times and the Royal Rumble twice in his WWE career. Hogan also fought in World Wrestling Entertainment, where he won the World Heavyweight Championship six times.
