Popular actor and comedian, Funny Face, has been held by the Police for allegedly threatening some celebrities and prominent media personalities, on some social media platforms.
Born Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, Funny Face was arrested by the Police for issuing threats to individuals, including Bola Ray, Fada Dickson, Former African Footballer of the Year, Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor, and his Baby Mama, Vanessa Nicole. He lashed at Fada Dickson and Bola Ray for taking his Baby mama’s side in his running dispute with Vanessa.
Funny Face also threatened to kill his baby mama, Vanessa Nicole, for trying to extort money from him, using their children as bait. In a viral video he posted on Instagram, the comedian said he will commit suicide after he murders Vanessa. He threw jabs at Adebayor, one of his closest allies until last year, for unfollowing him on social media.
The police found the threats so grave that the one-time comedian was picked up around 10:14pm yesterday, shortly after his interview with Kofi TV aired.
“Due to the history of the suspect, the police shall submit Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to the court for an order for psychiatric examination, to determine the next line of investigative action,” says the police.
It will be recalled that Funny Face, has been having very public spats with Vanessa, the mother of his children, coupled with run-ins with the police. Due to his erratic behaviour, he was admitted to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in February this year, and was released after two weeks.
