Lucas is now being ordered to enter prison not because of the initial altercation with his current wife, but because he disobeyed an order given by a judge (the restraining order).
The events date back to when Hernández and his wife, Amelia Lorente, had an altercation in the middle of the street. The court had sentenced both to 31 days of community service and prevented them from approaching or communicating with each other by any means for 6 months.
Both ignored this, and decided to go on a honeymoon. Lucas was arrested and placed at the disposal of the 3rd Court of Violence Against Women in Madrid, which later released him. Amelia was identified but not detained as the court had not yet notified her of her restraining order
The Criminal Court number 32 of Madrid has ordered the imprisonment of Lucas Hernández.The ordering procedure reads: “Mr. Lucas François Bernard Hernández is summoned to appear in this Court on October 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in order to be personally required to enter, voluntarily within ten days, in the penitentiary center of his choice”
Lucas’ defense has filed an appeal against that sentence and it will be up to the provincial Court to consider or reject it. In any case, Lucas must be personally present in Madrid on October 19.
