The husband of American rapper, Nicki Minaj, risks spending 10 years in jail.
Kenneth Petty, PageSix reported, pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to register as a sex offender in California during a virtual court hearing on Thursday.
It would be recalled that he was arrested in 2020 over his inability to register as a sex offender.
The 10 years he is facing in prison, African Entertainment understands, is the maximum sentence allowed for the crime.
He is also facing a lifetime of supervised release.
African Entertainment understands that Petty migrated to California from New York in July 2019.
However, law enforcement officials said he got pulled over in Beverly Hills in November 2019, marking the beginning of his legal woes.
Petty was accordingly pulled over in November and arrested for not registering as a sex offender in California, being released later on a $20,000 bond after he was charged.
He is reported to have committed his crimes in New York back in 1995. He was at the time arrested and jailed for four years in New York State prison for first-degree attempted rape.
