Fix the country has become a revolutionary movement which is giving the youth some hope and courage to step out in their numbers and protest against bad governance. As the protest against this bad governance proceeds, there are others who are protesting in pain concerning the brutality and the corrupt attitudes of some police officers. The government as stated by the protestors have disappointed the youth.
And this is because of the selfish desires of most people who gain power in some government sectors. The fixe the country protest begun on twitter and escalated into something even more bigger. The meeting for the protest begun at the obra spot at Kwame Nkrumah circle and supporters didn’t disappoint the organizers. There were popular faces like Avram Moshe and many others who have over the past few months supported the movement and added their voices.
Fix the country protestors bearded (boldly confronted or challenged) the police and demanded that they do their work right since they’re also affected as Ghanaians. The cards rolling in the crowd were photos of the late Kaaka who was murdered in one of the protest which took place few weeks ago at Ejura. The Ghana police had their names on high notes in demand for their competence and loyalty.
Of course, the president, his excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was not left out as protestors demanded jobs, security, good roads, schools and many more. The protest is ongoing and the desire of many who are watching is that it ends successfully just as it begun. A turn to look at these protestors and a decision by government to listen to their cries and hear their pleas is all they’re looking for. Let’s hope this yields a positive result.
