Veteran radio presenter Harry Adwoa Yeboah Asuama Kusi popularly known as Ohemaa Woyeje has finally cleared the air on the main reason why she left Multimedia to Angel FM. Before moving to Angel FM, she was working with Multimedia as the host for their mid morning show, “work and happiness” on Adom FM. She worked there for over six years before surprisingly resigning from Multimedia.
However, in an interview with Delay on the Delay show at GHone TV, Ohemaa Woyeje revealed she resigned from Adom FM because of the attitude of her manager to her. According to Ohemaa, she went on leave outside the country when she became pregnant and came back to work exactly the date she was supposed to supposed to resume work. However, when she got to work and was preparing to come live on air, her manager sent her a WhatsApp message that she shouldn’t go on air.
Here’s what she said:
“I went on leave when I was pregnant and when I resumed work and was about to go on air, my manager, Mr. Abu sent me a WhatsApp message that I shouldn’t go on air but I should rather go and do a certain field work. But I told him because of my condition, I can’t do that and what I can only do is the work I was contracted for as a presenter. He got furious and started talking as if I have done something wrong. I also got angry and told him if you want to do something, just go straight forward to the point because I already have offers from other radio stations. I got very angry and my husband got more angrier so I just tendered in my resignation letter”.
Harry reiterated that she has no problem with their CEO, Kwesi Twum but it was due to the attitude of their programs manager that led to her resignation.
Ohemaa Woyeje is currently working with the Angel Broadcasting Network, as the host of the mid morning show on Accra based Angel FM.
