The National Film Authority has announced its first partnership with a leading film distribution company in the United States, based in LA, IndieRights.
This comes on the back of the launch of the Presidential film pitch series by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on April 28, 2021, at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra, Ghana, where the President reiterated the ultimate drive to position Ghana as a film hub in the region and to get Ghanaian content to the world.
The Presidential Film Pitch Series is a pipeline facilitation program to help fuel the value chain of the film sector by providing a vibrant marketplace where great film projects within the Ghanaian film ecosystem can connect with investors, sponsors, agents. distributors, broadcasters, platforms for business to happen.
IndieRights has Partnerships with leading digital platforms including Amazon, Google, AppleTV, TubiTV, and others. These partnerships make it possible for Indio Rights to offer the very best audience opportunities for the more than 800 filmmakers they work with. Indio Rights exhibits every year at AFM and the Cannes Film Market.
More recently, Indio Rights has migrated its content to the cloud in partnership with a group of talented engineers from MIT.
