The government of Ghana has extended the provision of free water to Ghanaians to the end of the year.
This was contained in a statement from the Ministry Sanitation Water and Resources.
According to the statement, the government has extended the provision of water to allow for Ghanaians to adhere to the various safety protocols in the fight against the deadly COVID-19.
The general public was advised to use the water judiciously while tanker drivers were cautioned against charging for the provision of water because government has already paid.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Adders part of measures to help fight the deadly COVID-19 has since March provided the people of Ghana Free water from the Ghana Water Company.
Although the free water was expected to end in September, the President has ordered that from October 1 to December 31, Ghanaians are supposed to be provided with Free water.
