Sound engineer and businessman, Hammer of the Last Two has said that Ghanaian music followers need to give Asem some props for his ingenuity with the freestyle sessions he shares on Twitter.
According to him, producing songs out of the studio is very difficult so the finesse with which Asem produces those freestyles is an indication that the artiste still has the Midas touch.
To him, most people analyzing what Asem does are wearing lenses which are biased and therefore will have to sit back and be objective to realize Asem is still a musical genious.
Hammer who made this known in a post on social media said “Been watching Asem’s Twitter videos and I’m surprised ppl think he’s lost his mojo… the fact that he’s even doing these songs raw & out of studio and it still sounds great goes to say he’s a different breed of musician, rapping and singing his choruses and all. Can’t wait to hear the final work.. ignore the freestyling out-of-studio format and listen really well. Most musicians will sound very bad in this format, trust me, Forget the beef and listen to him proper. This EP will change everything”.
