Member of parliament for the Subin constituency Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi, has been re-elected by his party of representation; NPP as member of parliament not so long ago in the early weeks of June as chosen by the delegates of the constituency once again, he has in turn surprised many with his recent act of benevolence.
There are lot of roads in the country that need to be repaired and mostly, civilians complain asking for governmental help. Recently we found a Prophet popularly known as Ogya Nyame constructing a street in Kenyasi from his own pocket and urged more people who have been financially blessed to do similar.
Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi, the re-elected Member of parliament has also been found repairing roads in this community. In his first period of reign as an MP, the media recorded such acts of development in various sectors such as the field of education, health and infrastructural development which created more jobs for citizens.
So it is of no surprise to the public that now road development has been included. It has not yet been confirmed if he is doing this from his own pocket or if it is being done with financial support from his political party, NPP. Some in the opposition claim that this may be a political move since this was not done all this time until now, with the final election day drawing closer.
But it is obvious that this is not so, rather, a continuation of the developmental projects he began. The roads and streets in the constituency which were constructed many years ago but have a lot of potholes have been revisited and reconstructed by the member of parliament, a form of maintenance he could have ignored and used as a tool for empty promises to the public as a campaign for the upcoming election. Others also are just thankful for this repair for it is clear that this is an act of goodness.
Whatever the reason, Kumasi Online TV extends the gratitude from citizens to the Member of Parliament for the Subin Constituency Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi. Such works must be encouraged to save more lives on the road.
