Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in prayer for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo following his self-isolation due to having been exposed to COVID-19.
The NDC, through it official Twitter handle, said that it is praying for strength and good health of the President as he goes into a 14-day self-isolation.
“We are praying for strength and good health for President Akufo-Addo as he goes on a 14-day self-isolation on the advice of his doctors. Lord heal our land,” the party tweeted.
Meanwhile spokesperson for the NDC’s 2020 Campaign Team James Agyenim Boateng has cautioned people to not rejoice over the plight of the President and other leaders even though they have failed the people in how they have governed.
“James Agyenim Boateng Rejoice NOT in the affliction of your neighbour. We are in this together. These are not normal times. Pray for our country and its leaders, even though they make us miss leadership most of the time lately,” he wrote on social media.
Meanwhile the President’s self-isolation continues to provoke lots of discussions on social media as people remain divided on the effectiveness or otherwise of leadership with respect to the fight against COVID-19.
