President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that Ghana’s confirmed COVID-19 cases now stand at 17,351.
12,994 patients have so far recovered representing some 75% of the positive cases recorded.
According to the President the country’s death toll still stands at 112 which constitutes 0.6% of the positives.
The President indicated that 30 patients are in critical conditions and have been admitted at various treatment centers where they are receiving treatment.
The President during his 13th address indicated that the various incentives for frontline workers including payment of additional 50% of their salaries, Insurance packages and tax free salaries is still in force.
He indicated that finally, the Ghana Health Service has finalized on a definition for who a frontline worker is and will start to pay their extra 50% of their salaries promised by the end of June.
