Mr Kweku Ankrah-Quansah, Convention People Party’s(CPP’s) Aspiring National Chairman has called on the general public to associate themselves with the party in their communities in their quest to win power in the 2020 elections.
‘’We want Ghanaians to support us win the 2020 elections…I know there are people who are willing to support CPP, but due to the state of the party people are finding it difficult to join the party. I am calling on all youth to come out and join CPP so we can together build the party’’ he said in an interview monitored by MyNews.
He said a party cannot operate without funding stressing that “With the right orientations, members would be encouraged to contribute their widow’s mite towards the welfare of the party”.
Speaking on on Accra-based Kingdom FM, Mr Ankrah-Quansah said that,’’ one of the major hindrances for the party had been mobilization of resources. As national chairman, “I will engage in resources mobilization and equip the grassroots to move across the country and engage in active campaigns.’’
Speaking on the party Agenda, he explained that “in some constituencies where land is cheap we will build our offices from the ground up, create Job opportunities for our members through cooperatives, skills development and job placements as well as set-up membership welfare fund to take care of members in times of need,”
The CPP aspiring National Chairman noted that the party would explore and use ICT for re-organization, creating a platform for effective media engagement at national, regional and constituency levels.
