‘Onyame Aseda’ hitmaker and gospel music iconic figure, Kwaku Gyasi has revealed that the continuous exposure of alleged fake prophets by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is a threat to the existence of Christianity and will bring the name of God into disrepute.
“My opinion on the Kennedy Agyapong crusade is that now Christianity has become something else. The things that are going on currently don’t glorify God in any way but I’m not on this biggest platform to condemn anybody”.
The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has said it will soon initiate steps to look into recent allegations by politician Kennedy Agyapong against some purported fake pastors.
Kumasi-based musician, Kwaku Gyasi has disclosed to Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central that the nature of the current crusade against fake prophets doesn’t bring glory and honour to the name of God but he won’t condemn anyone hastily.
He continued “But the way things are going it has become a threat to Christianity such that it brings shame to God’s name. We are rather the ones who are supposed to bring glory and honour to the name of the almighty God.
“If someone is not even a Christian and continues to hear some of these exposé, that person might even conclude that they look at those who claim to be Christians.
“Whether the exposé is true or not when people hear an issue especially when it’s negative that’s what even gains momentum. So personally I think Kennedy Agyapong’s crusade against fake prophets is a threat to Christianity”.
