Female gospel artiste, Philipa Baafi who is happily married with children has revealed that she feels sad and weeps whenever there is divorce in a marriage involving other female gospel artistes.
The list of divorced female gospel artistes in Ghana continue to increase as Joyce Blessing recently became the latest to reveal her intention of quitting her matrimonial home.
Speaking to Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview on GBC Radio Central in Cape Coast monitored by MyNewsGh, Philipa Baafi said that she doesn’t know why more female gospel artistes are getting divorced.
“I’m not happy when I hear that my colleagues are being divorced and my heart bleeds. But I can’t be quick to judge because every marriage is unique. Everyone and what they go through so I don’t know what is happening in someone’s marriage.
“But I feel sad that it happened that way because even if you’re not a gospel artiste, divorce isn’t something which is pleasing to God. So when there is a divorce it is not something to be taken lightly.
“As for me Philipa I’m not happy about it. But as I said earlier I can’t judge because I don’t know what is happening. What I want to say is that we should not expose everything about our private life on social media.
“Sometimes as celebrities we put everything about our lives in the public domain. So this is a little advice that I will give to my colleagues that they should be careful because it can happen to anybody.
“Also don’t make mockery of your colleague who has been divorced because no one knows tomorrow
