Renowned movie producer/director Evangelist Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films Production has taken a swipe at his colleagues and it has raised a lot of eyebrows.
What birthed this outburst? On Friday, August 3, Zylofon Media and Watch & Dine Cinema in an event to formalize their partnership deal invited all the stakeholders in the Kumawood movie Industry, most especially the producers etc.
It so much turned out that over fifteen to about twenty movie producers in the Kumawood industry, less than three were present to witness the event. This incident undoubtedly didn’t sit well with the legendary producer, Evangelist Nyamekye. With the Zylofon Media representatives heavily in attendance to throw more light on the Zylofon Arts Fund which will be of great benefit to these movie producers, the Evangelist was appalled by their lack of absence.
Speaking at the event, the Evangelist couldn’t hide his resentment.
“It is very disappointing on behalf of my fellow producers to miss out on such a big occasion. Zylofon Media is doing all it can to help our industry and you are putting such an untoward behaviour,” he said.
“This is a perfect time to seek more clarity on the Zylofon Arts Fund which is there to help all of us in the movie industry. How can we be taken seriously when we act like this. I am very disappointed and embarrassed,” he added.
