Mob justice is increasingly becoming common in Ghana. Innocent people have lost their lives through the activities of mob justice. Being a suspect does not automatically make one guilty of a crime however some Ghanaians do not consider this and mostly prefer instant justice possibly because of delays and lack of trust in the law enforcement system.

Several of mob justices have taken place in Ghana. It could be recalled that on the 29th of May, 2018,  Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama  was lynched to death by some residents of Denkyira Obuasi, a town in the Central Region of Ghana. Just like Captain Mahama, this suspected arm robber has also lost his life.
