Nigerian’s own, David Adeleke after winning the Best International Act at the just ended BET Awards 2018 at the Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles encouraged all the black folks at the event to take a trip back to their ancestral home, Africa.
This year’s BET marks the second time the ‘Assurance hitmaker has clinched the awards after grabbing it 2014 in the same category, obviously. The award was presented to him by movie stars, Omar Hardwick and Tika Sumpter. Quite interestingly, Davido is the first African artist to receive the award on at the main event instead of back stage.
In his acceptance speech, he entreated the back community to come to Africa to eat their food and wear their clothes. This pronouncement came after he has expressed his profound condolence to D’banj for losing his 13-month old baby after he drowned in a pool.
