Veteran Journalist and Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has disclosed that persons who are uninitiated and uninformed would buy into the litany of allegations and bogus audios being circulated by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong
He has cautioned the public against consuming bogus information especially audios and videos indicating that the full version of a supposed corruption tape against his ‘boy’ Anas Aremeyaw Anas is with the police Criminal Investigations Department.
While reinforcing the point of lawyer Egbert Faibille Jnr, a private legal practitioner and current Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum Commission that the said audio is bogus and has nothing to connote corruption against the respected journalist, he cautioned the public against bogus informants.
Responding to the release of the audio which was played on Accra-based Adom Fm on Monday at the instance of the maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong on facebook, Mr Baako said “There’s has been no discovery or uncovering of any extortion and blackmailing”
He is of the view that the lawmaker is being fed by bogus informants who describing those who believe the accounts of events narrated to him as pathetic.
“That audio, the full version has been with the Police investigators since 2009. That and more constituted the basis for the preparation of the docket for the attention of the AG prior to the prosecution in court! There’s has been no discovery or uncovering of any extortion and blackmailing. Only the uninitiated and uninformed would be a victim of such bogus informants! Pathetic!”
On Monday, June 4, 2018, the lawmaker played an audio on Accra-based Adom Fm in which Anas Aremeyaw Anas was caught on tape speaking with others whose identities cannot be ascertained about the transfer of thousands of dollars.
But Mr Agyapong has cautioned the journalist not to underestimate the evidence he has against the journalist and his Tiger PI crew insisting it would bring his entire world down crumbling
“I respect Kweku Baako, he is wise but not wiser than me, so many of the things he has said are untrue,” he said on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Monday.
