Aduana FC are ready to welcome Asante Kotoko to Dormaa-Ahenkro on New Year’s Day as the betPawa Premier League continues this weekend.
The Fire Lads are leaders of the campaign after nine matches as they seek their third top-flight title in this 18-club contest.
Aduana FC are two points ahead of the stairs as they host the Porcupines who are second on the table at the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB), I Park on Sunday afternoon.
The game will be shown live on television on the StarTimes Adepa TV channel starting at 3:00pm local time, and a club’s spokesperson said they are ready for the game.
“We will welcome Asante Kotoko warmly to Dormaa-Ahenkro on Sunday, with a view of winning the game to enhance our chances of winning the diadem at the end of the campaign,” he said.
“Last season, Asante Kotoko surprised us at the NAB I Park, and we are poised to reverse that setback on Sunday,” he added.
On their way to winning the title last season, the Porcupines posted a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Aduana FC for their first ever win at the home of the Fire Lads.
And, from the view of Aduana FC, Asante Kotoko will have to get themselves prepared for what will be a very contentious top-of-the-table clash on Sunday.
