Fasting in a period where men and women decide to abstain from food and other forms of impurity to reconnect with their makers.
It is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected His followers to fast, and He said that God rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means to voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose.
Now, during this period, Christians, especially those who are married often stay away from sexual intercourse in order to make themselves “pure” for the Lord.
However, Nigerian actress, Anita Joseph doesn’t seem to see the point of that. According to the actress in a Facebook post, she doesn’t understand why women will starve their husbands of intimacy all in the name of fasting.
“The bible didn’t instruct you to starve your husband of s€x while fasting”. She wrote.
