Black Galaxies forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been talking about their chances at the upcoming Championship for Africa Nations.
The local Black Stars are yet to play high profile friendlies after winning against Ghana Premier League sides, Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities.
Barnieh who joined his teammates after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar spoke to the Ghana FA’s media.
He remains confident that with the support of his teammates and what they have been doing in training, they could win the trophy for the first time in the country’s history.
The Black Galaxies are making their first ever appearance since 2014 after missing the last three editions.
The Black Galaxies were able to qualify for the Championship For Africa Nations after going past their arch rivals, Nigeria over the penalty shootouts. The Black Galaxies have been paired in group C alongside defending champions Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar for the one month long tournament.
