The Wizkid Live Concert which took place on Saturday, December 10 2022, has been met with mixed reactions as the headline artiste did not perform leaving a few artistes on the bill showing up to perform. Artistes like Efya, Gyakie, Joey B, Yaw Tog, Asakaa, Darko Vibes, Kelvyn boy, just to mention a few, gave their fans a thrilling performance.
The headline artiste, Wizkid, refused fans a show which has left the organizers with no choice but to refund monies back, according to a statement released on their Instagram page on Sunday, December 11 2022.
Among artistes on bill was King Promise who also refused to perform on the said night. According to him, he did not show up due to safety reasons as he did not want to put his fans in harm’s way.
‘’Performing for my fans is my topmost priority. I don’t take the love and support you show me for granted. What I will never do is compromise your safety no matter how much I’m paid for a show’’, the CCTV hitmaker announced.
Meanwhile, scores of entertainment critics and fans have called for a boycott of the musician’s upcoming show due to his absence at the Wizkid Live concert. A section of his fans has called him out for not showing up and have threatened not to show up at the Promiseland concert, signaling that his allegiance to his fans should come first.
Meanwhile, King Promise was seen in a video with Wizkid jetting off to another concert hours after they had canceled out on Ghanaians.
