Black Stars duo, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Danlad Ibrahim are yet to return to the camp of the locally based senior national team, the Black Galaxies.
The Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko forward were part of the Black Stars squad that got eliminated from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana was making its fourth appearance at the World Cup and ended up giving opportunities to two local players but the duo never had the chance to enjoy any minute of game time at the World Cup.
They are expected to be part of coach Annor Walker’s squad that has qualified for the 2023 Championship for Africa Nations to be staged in Algeria in January next year.
However the two players are yet to report to camp to strengthen the squad ahead of the main tournament in Algeria next year.
“Barnie and Danlad are already part of the team before they were invited to the Black Stars to travel to Qatar for the World Cup and I am told they are in town. But this morning, I heard Danlad is ill and has been admitted to the hospital,” Annor Walker said.
