Ex-Arsenal Star, Ray Parlour has picked Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey ahead of Brazil striker, Gabriel Jesus.
Thomas Partey has been a key member of the Black Stars and played in all three group matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
His performance was not up the required standard but he is certainly an important component of Mikel Arteta’s squad which is lying on top of the league table.
Gabriel Jesus of Brazil on the other hand injured and could spend months on the sidelines and Ray Parlour makes his verdict on the two players.
“In terms of a title challenge I think Thomas Partey is arguably more important to the team than Jesus. If he gets injured we might struggle without backup for that position.” – Ray Parlour
Thomas Partey has since joined his teammates in camp after the Black Stars poor performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
