Ghana will begin its world cup campaign when the team lines up against European side Portugal on November 24.
The two teams first clashed in the final game of the group stages back in the 2014 world cup that was painted with a lot of disappointment and shame for the Black Stars. The team from West Africa was defeated by 3 goals to 1 by a Cristiano Ronaldo side.
Ghana’s midfield maestro, Thomas Partey is set to be handed his first start in a long while for the Black Stars in the game against Portugal. The midfielder’s last game for Ghana was back in March in the World Cup playoff game against Nigeria. It is believed that Ghana’s morale at camp is very high with the return of several key players in the squad.
Thomas Partey has been very brilliant for Arsenal this season while scoring some beautiful goals too. He will be one of the names on the starting line up for Ghana in the game against Portugal.
