Cristiano Ronaldo has told newsmen that their Group H opener against West African giant Ghana will be the most difficult for his side as far as the group is concerned.
The legendary forward who is obviously playing in his last World Cup tournament, said regardless of everything, he believes the collective aspiration of the squad will help them manoeuvre their way and progress to the next stage of the competition.
“I believe our national team has tremendous potential to win the World Cup. We will see. I believe we can. I have that hope, that belief.
“But like these competitions always teach us; we must think calmly. We must think and focus on the first group game. We must think about the Ghana game which is the most difficult one. We must start well, gain some confidence and we will go from there,” he said at a news conference.
Meanwhile, the match between the Black Stars and Seleção das Quina will take place at Stadium at 4 p.m. local time.
The last time the two sides met, Ronaldo inspired his side to win 2-1 at the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil.
