Seasoned Ghanaian singer, songwriter and record producer Rocky Dawuni has once again raised the flag of his country high as he secures a nomination for the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The musician who performs his signature ‘afro roots’ sound which is a blend of Reggae, Afrobeat, High-Life, and Soul music has been nominated in the ‘Best Global Performance’ category of the 65th Grammy Awards.
His song, ‘Neva Bow Down’ featuring Blvk H3ro has been nominated in the category category alongside “Udhero Na,” Arooj Aftab and Anoushka Shankar
“Gimme Love,” Matt B and Eddy Kenzo
“Last Last,” Burna Boy, “Bayethe,” Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode.
Happens to be his 3rd time earning a grammy nomination, Rocky Dawuni’s ‘
“Voice of Bunbom, VOL 1” was nominated in the ‘Best Global Album’ category of the 64th edition along with Wizkid, Beninese, Angelique Kidjo, and others.
He earned his first grammy awards nomination in December 2015. His sixth studio album, Branches of The Same Tree’ was nominated for ‘Best Reggae Album’.
