A public announcement of a price increase for Bibles sold by the Bible Society of Ghana has been made.

The notification said that the hike will go into effect on November 10, 2022, owing to rising costs associated with import duties and inflation.

As on the 10th of November, 2022, we will be revising our pricing of Bibles slightly higher to account for the high rate of inflation and the high cost of clearing [goods] from the ports. The note concluded with a prayer thanking readers for their patience.

The Bible Society of Ghana, whose mission is to make God’s Word accessible and inexpensive, is the country’s primary Bible distributor. The Society is well-known for selling Bibles at low costs that are seldom raised.

As a result of the present economic crisis, many people find themselves unable to purchase what was previously within their financial grasp.
