Ghana, is through the the final qualifying round to the 2023 African U-23 Championships in Morocco after overcoming Mozambique over two legs.
The Black Meteors, posted a 2-0 victory over their Mozambican counterparts on Sunday afternoon, to advance to the final qualifying round on a 4-1 aggregate win over the two legs.
Ghana’s goals this afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, were scored in each half by Slyvestre Simba and Daniel Afriyie Barnie to complete the success over the Mozambicans who lost the first leg tie 2-1 on home soil last weekend.
The Black Meteors have thus qualified to the next stage of the qualifiers on a 4-1 aggregate win over two legs.
Ghana will next play the Democratic Republic (DR) of Congo in a final determination to the African championships in Morocco next year.
DR Congo, over came Algeria on a 5-4 aggregate win over two legs in their toe this weekend.
Algeria, won today’s second leg tie at home 3-1, but it was not enough to overturn the 4-1 deficit they suffered in the first leg encounter in Kinshasa.
Ghana, will look to advance past the Congolese to the championship in Morocco next year in their two-legged affair later.
