In the early hours of yesterday, Kwadwo Safo took to his Twitter page to call out the youth of Ghana describing them as lazy and their refusal to dirty their hands.
In a tweet sighted on his page, he wrote, “Youth in farming is the way forward. In every small way, anyone can. Plant something. Government isn’t responsible for it all. No. We the citizens should also take responsibility. The youth of today are honestly lazy. Nobody wants to get his hands dirty”.
Bridget Otoo has however dragged Kwadwo Safo saying that farming is not that cheap as people think. According to her, farming requires a lot including labour, land tools and many others which makes it look like farming is for the rich now.
In her twert she wrote, “Farming is expensive. Let’s be honest, it is even beginning to look like the rich people are the ones doing the farming,” she stated.
“People talk about farming as if they are giving out free lands, paying for labour and the youth are refusing to do it. Even me, my dad gave me farmlands, we’ve not been able to find money to put it to use. Not having money is not equal to being lazy”, she explained.
