The rate at which prices of goods are being increased every hour is making a lot of Ghanaians panic. Even wealthy people are complaining about the rate at which the goods are being increased due to the rapid depreciation of the cedis. The Ghanaian entrepreneur and pilot, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena junior has used his official Twitter account to comment about the current hardship in the country, and many Ghanaians after coming across this video couldn’t keep mute over it.
According to what he posted on Twitter, he purchased a bag of cement at the price of GH¢GH¢62.50 yesterday, today the same cement is being sold at a price of GH¢82GH¢82. He doesn’t understand what is going on in the country. He said that when you ask the man (President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo) in charge what is going on, he answers rudely. But if people vote for you, it means that you are accountable to those people.
This is what Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena junior wrote on Twitter, “A Bag Of Cement Was GH¢69.5 Yesterday, Today It’s GH¢82; What The Hell Is Going On? You ask the guy who is in charge and he answers rudely. If people vote for you, it means that you are accountable to those people who voted for you”.
Some Ghanaians after coming across his post said that if a rich man is complaining about the economy then it means that the poor are suffering. Others said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo doesn’t care about what any person says now. He knows very well his term of office is almost ending and he is not going to be voted for again.
