Member of Parliament of Manhyia South, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh says Asantes in the Ashanti region will continue to give their votes to the ruling New Patriotic Party till thy kingdom comes.
This, he explains, is owed to the fact that the Ashanti region see massive development when the NPP is in office.
“When Nana Addo speaks, people take him on, I want to tell all of you gathered here that if you need a government that will come and help Asanteman, it is the NPP”, he said.
He says Kumasi, which is the capital of the Ashanti region, became known as “Borla city”, filled with filth during the erstwhile NDC administration.
However, the return of the NPP, he says, has beautified the region, making it one of cleanest cities in the country.
“We shouldn’t show ingratitude, Asantes are grateful, let us not be ungrateful, Asante have good memories. It is based on this that we will continue to vote for the NPP till God descends from the heavens” he said.
“I can say that anyone here who votes for the NDC does not mean well for Asanteman, ” he added.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who doubles as the Minister of Energy made these remarks at the sod cutting ceremony for the 4-tier Suame Interchange in Kumasi last Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
