The Suame Interchange is one of the governments projects wherea cuts sod for the construction of Africa’s 3rd 4tier Interchange located at suame roundabout in Kumasi.
The Suame Roundabout in kumasi is converted into a 4-interchange with a fountain and a statue in the middle of the roundabout.
The 4-tier interchange project, to be constructed in two phases within 30-30 months includes five overpasses:
•An overpass at the Abrepo Junction;
•An overpass at Krofuom Junction;
•An overpass at Anomangye Junction;
•An overpass at Magazine New Road Junction; and
•An overpass at Abusuakruwa Junction.
It will also result in the widening of sections of the Kumasi ring road and the Offinso road into a 3-lane dual carriage carriageway with an additional 15 kilomet15-kilometers local roads would be developed.
Note: This is the artistic impression of the interchange. Upon completion of the interchange, Ghana will be the only country in Africa with two (2) 4tier Interchanges.
