Mrs Tracy Addo, the wife of iconic rapper Sarkodie who also answers to the moniker Tracy SarkCess has revealed why she still stuck to Sarkodie at the time when he had nothing.
Tracy mentioned that Sarkodie was always determined and had a vision for the future in an interview with Berla Mundi on “The Day Show” on TV3.
Beyond that, Tracy also shed light on the fun moment she has with her husband at home dubbed Adult Time which occurs at least every Friday.
“A fun routine would be, usually let’s say on Fridays, we try to just make sure that we’re having adult time. We go on date once a week. We try at least to go on a date once a week,” she said.
“So if let’s say it’s Friday or something, he lets me know that tonight we are going out, so then I make sure I come back from work, and then I dress up,” she added.
Having dated for years, the duo got married in a private wedding ceremony held in Tema, Ghana on 17 July 2018. They have two children.
Sarkodie is often named as one of Africa’s greatest hip hop artists. MTV Base ranked him sixth on its list of the Hottest African MCs in 2014.
In 2013, Lynx TV ranked him first on its list of the “Top 10 Ghanaian Rappers of All Time”.
In 2015, AfricaRanking.com ranked him third on its list of the “Top 10 African Rappers of 2015”. In 2015, The Guardian listed him as one of its top five hip hop acts on the African continent.
He was ranked 8th on Forbes and Channel O’s 2013 and 2015 list of the Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artistes.
In 2020, he won “Artiste of the Year” during the Ghana Awards USA (GMA USA).
