Ghanaian act DJ Azonto who began his career as a professional Disc Jockey has explained why he ended up having intimacy with his cousin.
He claimed that although he did not want the experience, he was forced into it by the circumstances and his father’s failure to provide for him.
He made the disclosure when he was interviewed on Okay FM’s Best Entertainment Show. In his words, his father used to give his cousin enough money that drove him to date her in order to receive some of the funds for his own subsistence.
He continued by saying that while his father was the richest person in the area where he lived, he was a poor man who slept in a kiosk and on church premises.
“My father was a rich man but I never enjoyed his riches. He was the richest man in the whole area but he wasn’t taking good care of me. I used to sleep in the kiosk and church premises because of a lack of accommodation.
Due to that, I couldn’t take care of him as well when he was sick, due to pains that were all over me. My cousins used to go for big monies from him. I dated my cousin because I needed money to survive.
“She was a beautiful young lady who was getting good money from my father. I dated her so I can get part of the money for myself. I had to pretend to love her for my share of the money – it wasn’t easy those days. She was my girlfriend” he detailed.
