The Ghana Police Service at around midnight of Saturday 8th October 2022, stated via their official Twitter handle indicating an investigation has commenced into the alleged scamming of church members by Agradaa.
Patricia Asiedua popular known as Nana Agradaa has been trending on various social media platforms for yet another incident of scamming people. Not long ago, the self-acclaimed repented fetish priest turned Evangelist, set up a church – Heaven Way Church in Weija – Accra, after her “Sika Gari” money doubling scam almost sent her to jail.
It appears her repentance was only in her ways and schemes of operating her scam but was never as a change of character.
There have been viral videos of agitated church members who claim they have been scammed by Agradaa. They say she told them during church service on Friday to bring various amounts of money for her to double or multiply it for them in return. However, after collecting huge sums of money from the church members, she closed the service without delivering her promise.
The complaints got the attention of the police and they have urged people with information that can help in the investigation to report to the Accra Regional Police Command, close to the COCOBOD building in Accra central.
While some social media users have called for her immediate arrest, some also asked the police to let the victims cry more since they refused to learn lessons from the past fraudulent activities of Agradaa and still went to her church.
Questions were also asked regarding how her first arrest during the “sika Gari” days ended. “So with all the allegations that were so obvious for her initial arrest nothing was done. This woman was left to go to disguise her dubious actions in the name of being called by God”
Some of the victims are reported to have paid about GH¢1000 expecting GH¢10,000 to GH¢100,000 in return. Others also paid up to GH¢2000 cedis for their expected “miracle” of money “doubling” from Evangelist Mama Pat as she now calls herself.
