Ghanaian rapper, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, known by his stage name Guru has released a new song titled ‘Enko Yie’.
The song specifically talks about hardship in human life.
Guru made reference to an early life lived in Accra. He’s heard in the song talking about the things he used to do and the few people he knew that have become successful yet his life is at a standstill.
He asked whether it is going well for others. The chorus then followed. ‘Enko yie, obra wei de3 enko’ which translates to English as ‘the life is not going well’ keeps repeating in the chorus.
Guru’s new single (Enko Yie) features another Ghanaian musician called Benji.
Since the song talks about hardship and the country currently facing hardship, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could capitalize on it and use it against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in the next election.
It could be their campaign song as they use parts of the lyrics to tell Ghanaians that the country is in crisis and for that matter, they should be voted into power to make living comfortable.
