This makes the Ashanti Kingdom and its king, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, one of the powerful kings in Ghana.
King Charles III, who until recent times was heir to the throne, together with the people of Britain will be hosting world leaders and other dignitaries to the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19th September, 2022 at Westminister Abbey.
The queen died on Thursday, September 8, 2002 at age 96 setting the record as the longest reigning monarch in British history. She ascended the throne in 1952 and reigned for 70 years, having lost her husband, Prince Philip in April last year.
