Unexpected news from the camp of Chelsea earlier today confirmed to have part ways with head coach Thomas Tuchel after 20 months in charge, five possible candidates are said to be in line as the German tactician’s successor and one of them have been contacted by the board.
Five shortlisted candidates -Brighton’s boss Graham Potter is one of them, former PSG and Real Madrid’s Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane alongside Atletico’s Diego Simeone and Juventus’s Massimiliano Allegri.
Out of this shortlist, two managers are without a team -thus Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane who both left their jobs in 2021. Pochettino was sacked, likewise, Zidane resigned.
And on such notice, reports claim Chelsea have made contact with Brighton & Hove Albion manager, Graham Potter who they believe is the ideal candidate to succeed Thomas Tuchel as a move on Zidane looks unlikely which is evident in previous seasons, where he turned several jobs in England.
Potter, 47, per his track record at Seagulls this season can be said to be a quite job done – placing them at the fourth position after six Premier League games with 4 sighted wins and a draw.
Will he be a fantastic manager at the club?
